Places To See-観光スポット
For a small village in rural Nagano, there are a lot of things to see and history to explore. Here are a few of the sites in and around Chikuhoku.
長野の田舎にある小さな村ですが、見どころや歴史を探る場所がたくさんあります。筑北とその周辺の観光スポットをいくつかご紹介します。
Kariyasawa Shinmei Shrine-刈谷沢神明宮
A shrine has been on this site for over 500 years. The original building was destroyed in 1583 during a battle between feuding warlords. A great place for photography in any weather. It is a short drive or a good walk from Silk & Soy.
この場所には500年以上もの間、神社が建っています。元の建物は1583年、抗争していた武将同士の戦いで破壊されました。どんな天候でも写真撮影に最適な場所です。Silk & Soyからは車ですぐ、また徒歩では３、４０分ぐらいの良い散歩になります。
Mountain Temple-富蔵山観音堂
A place for quiet meditation and stunning views of the mountains around Chikuhoku in all seasons. A 500m walk from where you can park a car or an hour hike from Silk & Soy.
四季折々の筑北地方の山々の素晴らしい景色を眺めながら静かに瞑想できる場所で。駐車場から500m歩くか、シルク＆ソイから1時間のハイキングです。
Shrines, temples and castles-神社、寺院、城
A lovely walk from Silk & Soy will see you visit a shrine, the site of a feudal era fort and a temple with a magnificent dragon painting. Plan for between 1.5-2 hours, the walk does involve steep hills up and down but is well worth it. We have a map at Silk & Soy.
シルク＆ソイから続く素敵な散歩道では、神社、封建時代の砦跡、そして壮大な龍の絵が描かれた寺院を訪れることができます。1時間半から2時間ほどの散策を計画してください。急な坂道もありますが、歩く価値は十分にあります。シルク＆ソイに地図をご用意しております。
The Cat & Motorcycle Shrine-猫とバイクの神社
A 20 minute drive from Silk & Soy brings you to a rather unique shrine dedicated to cats and motorcycles. Set in a mountain top forest, there are around 800 stone statues amongst the trees including a small one that has been swallowed by a growing tree,
シルク＆ソイから車で20分ほどのところに、猫とオートバイを祀った、ちょっと変わった神社があります。山頂の森の中にあり、木々の間には約800体の石像が並んでいます。中には、成長した木に飲み込まれた小さな石像もあります。
Aoyagi Castle Ruins-青柳城跡
The Aoyagi clan built many of the original shrines and temples around Chikuhoku and this is the site of the main castle used in times of conflict. It sits atop a mountain above the village and commands fantastic views of the surrounding countryside and mountains. Sunsets from here can be amazing. A 15 minute drive from Silk & Soy gets you to parking where a mock up of a fort can be found before a 500m walk to the site of the castle.
青柳氏は筑北周辺に多くの神社や寺院を建立しましたが、ここは戦国時代に使用された主要な城跡です。村を見下ろす山の頂上に位置し、周囲の田園地帯と山々の素晴らしい景色を一望できます。ここから見る夕日は息を呑むほど美しいでしょう。シルク＆ソイから車で15分の駐車場には砦の模型があり、そこから500メートル歩くと城跡に到着します。
Sekisuiji-碩水寺
An absolutely beautiful temple at the top of a flight of stone stairs. If this were in Kyoto it would be surrounded by thousands of tourists but here in Chikuhoku you will have it to yourself. Walk up the hill behind to a grave site where the Aoyagi warlord is buried.
石段を登った先にある、実に美しいお寺です。京都だったら何千人もの観光客で賑わっているでしょうが、ここ筑北では、まさに独り占めです。裏手の丘を登ると、青柳武将が眠る墓地があります。
The Pilgrims Road-巡礼者の道
A district in the village that was part of the pilgrim road to the Zenkoji temple in Nagano city. Many of the buildings were once inns and the streets would have been busy with pilgrims visiting friends in other inns. Nearby the road has been carved out of rock to make the road easier for travellers. A neighbourhood shrine is approached through 23 Tori gates. And above this district a temple once the Aoyagi's personal temple slowly decays being overtaken by the bamboo forest.
長野市の善光寺への参拝道の一部であった村内の地区。建物の多くはかつて旅館で、通りは他の旅館の友人を訪ねる参拝者で賑わっていたことでしょう。近くの道は旅人が通行しやすいように岩を削って造られています。近所の神社へは23の鳥居を通って行きます。そしてこの地区の上には、かつて青柳氏の個人寺であったお寺がありますが、竹林に覆われて徐々に朽ちつつあります。
Dams-ダム
Dams are quite a common sight in rural Japan as they are often a source of the water in homes and for irrigation. Chikuhoku is a rice growing area and so there are a number of dams. The reservoirs and dams provide good walks to enjoy or vistas to admire. In late April cherry blossoms enhance the beauty around them.
ダムは日本の田舎ではよく見かける光景です。なぜなら、ダムは家庭の水源や灌漑用水として利用されているからです。筑北地方は稲作地帯なので、数多くのダムがあります。ダムや貯水池は、散歩を楽しんだり、眺めを楽しんだりするのに最適です。4月下旬には桜が咲き、周囲の美しさをさらに引き立てます。
